Listen To A New Ambient Track By Classic Electronic Outfit Underworld
The glistening ambient textures of “Brilliant Yes That Would Be” were inspired by a visit to Iceland.
Quintessential electronic group Underworld have gone beatless for a pensive new ambient track titled “Brilliant Yes That Would Be”. Inspired by a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland earlier this March, the track shimmers with wide-screen beauty and a meditative tone thanks to its Robert Fripp-like guitar line and glistening ambient pads. The video, made by Simon Taylor, channels the track’s cinematic sensibility, featuring morphed images of the Icelandic landscape.
Best known for their ’90s releases like Beaucoup Fish, Underworld’s surprising return follows their 2016 effort, Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future.
Check out the new track above, and to see the band at their raved-up best, watch 30-minutes of their 2016 performance in Berlin below.
