We Want To Disappear Into This Wonderland Of Light And Sound
This botanical garden has been completely transformed into a high-tech wilderness.
If you have already had enough of winter, perhaps it’s time to jump on a plane and head to the warm, futuristic paradise of Enchanted: Forest of Light. Until January 8, the 150 acre grounds of the Descano Botanical Gardens in California will play host to a techno-naturalist’s oasis. Its 2,500 tulip-shaped LEDs shift color and pulse rhythmically. It has electronic fireflies that swarm around you and luminous pressure pads that explode into light at the slightest touch. Chris Medvitz of Lightswitch has been cultivating this vision since 2015. It brings technology and nature together in a vibrant, unique synchronicity. Watch a video for it below.
