Hey, have you ever heard that song “Old Town Road”?

The inescapable track has been remixed more times than we can count, with new versions coming from one-hit-wonder-slash-TV-dad Billy Ray Cyrus, K-Pop stars BTS, and internet-meme-turned-country-sensation Mason Ramsey to name a few. But none of the hundreds of remixers have reinterpreted the country-rap hit quite like this one.

YouTube artist Ace Waters stripped the original of its plucked guitar and 808-laden beat and drenched it in ’80s nostalgia with this synthwave cover. Crunchy drums, analog synths and a keytar solo await you. Listen above.
