Our Favorite Moscow Techno Party Is Throwing A 24-Hour Rave In Berlin

Arma's 10 Year Party Is A Massive 24-Hour, 4 Room Takeover Of Berlin's Funkhaus

The Russian label and collective will celebrate their 10-year anniversary at Berlin’s sprawling Soviet-era broadcasting center.

When Outline Festival was shut down by Russian authorities back in 2016, it felt like the writing on the wall for Arma 17. The shapeshifting Moscow club had already been forced to change locations numerous times since emerging in 2008. Without a permanent home, the the club stated that it entered “a de facto state of an international phenomenon”, hosting parties around Europe that reflected the institution’s diverse and discriminating taste in contemporary electronic music.

Needless to say, few institutions have had to work harder to make it to a decade than Arma. Thankfully, for their 10th birthday they’re celebrating in serious style. On June 2, Arma X will take over four huge rooms at the legendary Funkhaus venue in East Berlin for an eclectic 24-hour party of explorative electronic music, including live sets, twisted experimental performances and forward-thinking club sounds.

The party will be separated into four major themes across each room: live, experimental, 24-hours and techno. Among the artists performing will be avant-garde fusion group Ambiq, industrial legends Zoviet France and misfit rockers Gnod. Rominimal legends Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh will be gracing the 24-hour floor with trippy grooves alongside Nastia, Nicolas Lutz and Mathew Jonson.

If that’s not enough, Berghain favorite Etapp Kyle and raging noise artist Container will both make their mark on the techno floor. First release tickets are currently available for €25 here. It’s probably the most exciting ten-year birthday you’ll celebrate, so move fast. You can check out the whole lineup here.
