Play 38 Legendary Analog Synthesizers With This iPad Synth Suite
Jam on old school synths the virtual way.
Looking for the classic sounds and brilliantly weird performance techniques native to some of the world’s great vintage analog synthesizers? You’re in luck. IK Multimedia’s new Syntronik app means that you can now play iconic synths like the ARP 2600, the Minimoog Model D, the Prophet 10 and the Roland Jupiter 8 without spending years, not to mention thousands of dollars, on your collection.
The Syntronik App was originally produced for desktop, but it’s now been launched in a useful iOS version that can be used directly from your iPad. IK’s DRIFT technology authentically models how real analog circuits behave over time, allowing for insanely good circuit-modeled filters and oscillators that emulate the sound and behavior of the hardware they’re modeled after. The software is comprised of 17 virtual synths (all of which mimic the sounds of 38 classic analog originals), 37 effects and dynamic arpeggiators, so you’ll be spoiled for choice whether you are looking to create new age ambient dreamscapes or lush pads and blistering melodic lines for your dance floor productions. Watch how it works in the demo video below. You can download Syntronik here.
