The rising DJ joins one of the best hip-hop parties in Berlin for a smooth mix of classics and edits.
Back in January, CTM-curator Michail Stangl—a man who has heard his fair share of music over the years—lavished praise on Kikelomo as “standing for the rich and promising state of the Berlin underground.”
As a member of the party crew No Shade, the Berlin-based DJ has quickly amassed some serious hype. Her up-tempo sets run the spectrum of garage, grime and UK bass—influences drawn from being raised London—all the way through Jersey and kuduro. All energy and movement, it’s hard not to see why her sets have being bringing something new to Berlin dance floors.

For her contribution to to the Hoe_mies mix series, however, Kikelomo has opted for an altogether softer and smoother side of her sound. R&B is the order of the day, with smoked-out melodies and smooth slow jams, as well as some awesome edits of true classics, making for a sun-kissed mix perfect for the beginning of those longer and warmer days.
