There’s no such thing as too much Robert Hood. The Detroit minimal techno technician’s legacy is so rich and so deep that we could mine it forever, as Mixmag has done in a recent Q&A. The straightforward conversation covers all the usual bases, from Hood’s early days in the Detroit techno scene to his thoughts on the current state of dance music. He also speaks briefly about his collaborative project with his daughter Lyric, which is the subject of a forthcoming Electronic Beats Mentors feature that we’ll roll out soon.
