Skee Mask Will Release A Heady New Techno Album On Ilian Tape Next Month
The second album from Skee Mask on Ilian Tape follows a succession of 12″s and his 2016 debut LP Shred.
Skee Mask prefers to sit in the background, letting the music speak for itself from behind a cloud of haze. But while the enigmatic producer stays out of the spotlight, his works continue to gain traction, solidifying him as one of the pillars of Munich’s blossoming techno scene.
His most recent LP, 2016’s Shed, which was reviewed for EB by Answer Code Request, jettisoned him to the level of an obscure cult artist as its tracks found its way into the bags of club music’s most progressive selectors. On May 15, Shred will finally see a worthy successor, when Compro releases on his home label, Ilian Tape. You can expect the record to be full of the spaced-out, break-influenced techno excursions the producer has become known for.
Check Telekom Electronic Beats soon for updates on the forthcoming double LP. In the meantime, check out this video featuring Skee Mask from our YouTube channel, which features informative new videos like this every Tuesday.
