Sirens was premiered on Nicolas Jaar’s The Network project and is his most political album yet.
This came as a nice surprise over the weekend; Nicolas Jaar’s long-anticipated album Sirens dropped on his multimedia art project website The Network. It’s heavily politicized, with lyrics that address current affairs and you have to listen through the whole thing in one sitting as it’s not skippable. If politics and moodiness aren’t your thing, be patient for the first half or so until the heavy hitting cuts come on—or just be more open and absorb the whole thing as it’s meant to be.
