Detroit and Berlin come together on Rolando’s celestial new remix from Marcel Dettmann’s forthcoming DJ-Kicks.
As you may have heard, Marcel Dettmann has mixed the next installment in Studio !K7’s DJ-Kicks mix series. Earlier this month we showed you the tracklist and told you about how it’s intended to be more of a home listening mix than a straight-up banger. That aesthetic might be called into question a little bit by this stream of the closing song—it’s a spaced-out techno trip that has Detroit legend and one-time Underground Resistance member Rolando remixing Dettmann’s own “Let’s Do It”. The results give us the same kind of goosebumps we got hearing Dettmann’s b2b set with Ben Klock at Panorama Bar last weekend.
