You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” This quote from The Matrix has had a remarkable amount of staying power. The same goes for the film’s nu-metal punk-noir soundtrack, which is finally being pressed to vinyl.
Real Gone Music’s double vinyl reissue of the soundtrack gives you a chance to revisit the music that helped make the movie a milestone for millennials. The record will be out on August 4. In addition to the standard version, the label is also offering a limited edition “red or blue pill” pressing inspired by the iconic scene. Listen to a track off the soundtrack below.
