This Levitating Speaker Will Make Your Head Spin

It’s hover time.

Want to add a touch of science fiction to your home listening experience? LG has just announced the PJ9 amplifier. It’s a levitating, wireless 360-degree Bluetooth speaker that’s sure to fulfill your needs. The crux of the setup is a floating amplifier that floats a few inches above a “levitating station” that contains the electromagnets that keep it aloft plus extra subwoofer power. The speaker descends to the base when requiring more battery before autonomously rising up again to its floating perch. We’re not sure what the benefit a hovering speaker brings to sound quality, but it sure does look cool. Watch it in action below.
