Tim Heidecker Spoofs Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize Win
Best known for Tim & Eric, the comedian is also a fine musician—and a decent Dylan impersonator.
As reported yesterday by basically everyone, Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize for literature. It’s an odd win, to be sure, and the even odder Tim Heidecker has picked up on it with a new song. Unlike his recent, more straightforward LP In Glendale, Heidecker is in fine goof-and-spoof form here, imagining Dylan’s completely disinterested opinion on the whole subject; Heidecker’s Dylan wants you to look into his eyes to see how he “despise the prize.” Pure gold.
