Watch Lady Starlight Make A Techno Banger In Just 10 Minutes
The Berlin-based producer uses a formidable collection of gear to make peak time four-to-the-floor.
Berlin-based producer Colleen Martin (a.k.a. Lady Starlight) has only recently been making inroads into the world of techno, but in the past year, she’s made a big splash. Martin originally DJed heavy metal alongside Lady Gaga, but met techno heavyweight Surgeon in 2014 and has been collaborating with him ever since. According to the new producer, working with Surgeon introduced her to the world of hardware and modular synthesis.
Martin recently released her first solo EP on Stroboscopic Artefacts using her arsenal of awesome gear. Check out a video of her using it on FACT’s Against The Clock, where she crafts a dynamic, jacking techno track in just 10 minutes and then explains how she put the pieces together.
