We Bet You've Never Seen A Minimoog Played Like This Before

This vintage Minimoog is being played live—and unplugged.
Few synthesizers sound as distinctive as the legendary Minimoog Model D synthesizer. Be it disco, jazz-fusion or prog, the Minimoog has been the secret weapon behind a fair few synth jams in its time. However, we doubt that anyone has thought of jamming without plugging it in. Berlin-based producers skinnerbox have done just that, using the synth’s famous wood finish and classy notched knobs to create a wacky “acoustic” synth solo. We’re guessing that the new budget Behringer Minimoog clone probably won’t sound anything like this. To watch the whole jam, click here.
