This Website Lets You "DJ" Steve Reich's Classical Masterpiece

Ever wanted to mix your own version of ‘Six Pianos’? Now you can with this web-based player.
Steve Reich’s 1974 masterpiece “Six Pianos” layers six overlapping piano developments in varying melodic compositions. Its 2016 remake by Berlin’s FILM Recordings, however, takes a slightly different approach to the modern-classical piece. Each of the six parts was recorded separately and posted in a web-based player that allows the user—you—to add and subtract each individual part and “DJ” them together. The result offers a cool perspective on Reich’s seminal piece. You can check this neat tool out on the FILM Recordings website, or buy the record here.
