“Here’s the deal: I’m a woman and I think that women’s presence at harsh noises shows is a. important and b. interesting given that noise is the most overwhelming male musical subculture I have ever experienced, not that that’s inherently bad or anything–just sayin. I think it’s important to show that there are women at noise shows both listening and performing and I think it’s interesting to show a range of women’s reactions from enjoyment to skepticism because really sometimes you dudes need some perspective.”
