Young Fathers Will Re-Release 2 Rare Cassettes On Vinyl
TAPE ONE and TAPE TWO will be available on all formats in June.
Longtime Telekom Electronic Beats family members Young Fathers have announced that they will reissue some of their formative releases—a cassette from 2011 and another from 2012—via Big Dada on June 16. TAPE ONE was originally published as a free download in late 2011, and the cassette release of TAPE TWO—which was crowned Scottish Album Of The Year in 2014—followed a few months later. Now they’re making the seminal records available on vinyl, CD and again on cassette with versions remastered by Mandy Parnell, an engineer who has worked on records for The Knife, Björk, Brian Eno and more.
They’ve also taken the opportunity to announce two new show dates: one at London’s Royal Festival Hall on June 9 and a “TAPES-only show” at London’s Rough Trade on June 5.
