Videodrome #59 – This week’s best videos
New eye-ear candy from around the world in this week’s edition of VIDEODROME, featuring the likes of Alt-J, Casiokids, Little Dragon and many more. For your trolling pleasure.
#1 Gacha – Bowl, directed by Anna Kobakhidze
I can’t decide what I love more, the track or that dance routine. I’m totally going to learn this and bust out in the middle of the club sometime in the, uh, near future.
///
#2 Little Dragon – Sunshine , dir?
A song created for the Absolut Vodka remix series and supposedly inspired by the company’s Punch Drink. Although we remain skeptical of the “fruity, fizzy, summer-perfect cocktail”, we also can’t argue with Swedish sex appeal.
///
#3 Hopie ft. Moe Green – String Em Up, directed by Stretch
An incredibly dope track off Hopie’s current release Raw Gems. Hot, hot, hot.
///
#4 Kastle – Stay Forever, directed by THESUPERMANIAK
Loving this new cut from Kastle – pounding sub bass and infectious vocals. Available from July 31st on Cymbols Recordings.
///
#5 D E N A – Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools, directed by Bontchev & Burchardi
D E N A is Berlin-based songwriter and vocalist, Denitza Todorova. She’s currently finalizing her debut album in the German capital.
///
#6 Face+Heel – No stars, directed by COLOUR OF SPACE
Cardiff duo Sinead McMillan and Luke Taylor, aka Face + Heel, have released a new track and accompanying video. Psychedelic, soars angelic.
///
#7 Casiokids – Dresinen, directed by Seb Burnett & Rumpus Animation
Casiokids have opted to express themselves through honest and endearing cartoons in their new video for ‘Dresinen’. Gorgeousness.
///
#8 Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra – Want It Back, directed by Jim Batt
If your boss doesn’t consider this ‘safe for work’ it’s time to quit your fucking job. Just got word that AJ Samules went to high school with her. Lucky bastard.
///
#9 John Talabot – Lamento, directed by Joshua Catalano
This time it’s all about the video. The track’s great too, but once you see the animation skills of Parisian video artist Joshua Catalano, you’ll know what I mean.
///
#10 Alt-J – Tessellate, directed by Alex Southam
My favourite song by Alt-J from their debut album An Awesome Wave, now with an excellent new video from Alex Southam. Lovely grade and nice shots.

#11 Birch Cooper – I Was A Teacher, directed by MSHR
