Wolfgang Voigt turns Kafka into music

Cologne-based producer and minimal godfather Wolfgang Voigt is about to release a triple-pack of 12-inches under the project name Kafkatrax. Therefore the Kompakt-boss deconstructed an audio-book of famous German-speaking writer Franz Kafka, using the voices to create the tracks. Every sound on Kafkatrax, except the bassdrum, comes from this audio-book, which explains the name.
The three records are limited to 199 units each and can be purchased via the Kompakt webshop. A CD version including all tracks will follow in July on Profan, Voigts revived seminal art-techno imprint.
